I get the flu shot for all of us, except my DH who refuses. We go to a Mommy and Me preschool and if you can imagine 20 adults, each with 1-3 kids, together for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week...well, I'd rather be protected against anything I can get a vaccination for! LOL! My OB gave it to me at my first appointment and yeah, it always makes my arm sore for about a day.

I got the shot a few weeks ago. I work in a therapeutic community- 450 residents who live, work, eat, and play together. Only 7 of us on staff are not part of the community. As you can imagine, illness spreads through the TC like wildfire, and I do not have time to be laid out with the flu!!

I got the flu shot, by choice. My doctor didn't ask me. However, my cousin got the flu when she was pregnant & now her son is developmentally delayed. Do your research. It's really bad for a pregnant mother to have a fever. This is why they strongly suggest pregnant women to get the flu shot. At least my cousin's baby is alive, some die before they're a year old. I've never gotten sick from the flu shot & like other vaccines, I believe there are more pluses than minuses, so I've never hesitated getting it.
