So as you know my DH lost his old job. He got a new one but because of his start day at the new job he wont get a paycheck til after xmas. My dad decided to help with my bills but food for my pets ran out and I signed up for toys for tots and havent heard back from them. Anyway today I was stressing about the lack of food for my fur babies and bumming over not being able to buy gifts for DD on xmas and posted on my FB about it cuz I really just needed a friend with a sympathetic hug right now. Well within minutes of posting my status I got 3 texts...one from one cousin saying she would buy dog food n kitty litter and a gift for DD. Another cousin texted saying she went to walmart and got dog food for me. And my highschool best friend whom i havent seen in 10 years texted me to say she put a check in the mail for a few hundred dollars. I am overwhelmed by the generosity and have been crying...tears of thankfulness.

It is a huge relief. And i should add those that helped us out well one cousin is a single mom of two boys. The other cousin isnt rich by any means. And my friend well shes just a single gal...but Like i said havent seen her in years and havent spoken to her often either. It was so unexpected. I still tear up thinking about it.

My husband was laid off last year and took a job making way less money. I applied for toys for tots this year. In previous years, I was the one donating TO toys for tots. I got a call yesterday to come pick up my kid's toys. I thought I was going in there to get one gift for each kid but walked out with a garbage bag full.

It was handed to me by a retired disabled vet and it was everything i could do not to break down in their office.

I did make it to my car, and lost all my marbles there.

I have never been so humbled or so grateful for anything in my life.

Hang in there sweetcheeks, it will get better.
