Anyone else having horrible headaches? They aren't quite migraine status, but ugh ... they are all the time. I usually lay down with an ice pack before resorting to taking some Tylenol for them, but even the combination of the ice, laying down, and Tylenol doesn't always help. Yeah, yeah, I should have said more about them at my appointment today, but I always forget SOMETHING at these appointments.

What do you do for your headaches?

Mostly out, but not completely. I couldn't cut it out completely because I usually get headaches if I try to.

omg YES! They are the WORST! I haven't been drinking caffeine much at all but I had a coke yesterday and it was the only thing that made mine go away for a little while. They drain me too. When I get them I feel like I'm gettin sick but when they go away I'm ok.

I have suffered from migraines for years. I was looking forward to the ease in migraine symptoms that many pregnant women enjoy. Nope. Not me. Mine have gotten 10 times worse. Tylenol doesn't touch them. I'm sorry you're dealing with them, too. Headaches are the devil.

I've gotten migraines my entire life , they went away for a short period but ive been getting them again, I couldnt even work for two days last week, i know you are supposed to cut out caffeine but it is good for migraines, if youve ever read the ingredients in migraine medications such as excedrin mgiraine or bayer migraine one of the main ingredients is caffeine. I havent taken any medication during my pregnancy well because it scares me , so the only thing that helps with mine is a hot cup of tea , a warm shower and lots and lots of sleep

Me too but Im sure mine are stress caused and lack of caffeine. Sometimes I will grab some of DHs coke and have a small glass cuz its the only thing that helps. Then again Ive also been craving coke! Its bad!

I have chronic migraines too.. I find that tylenol with a little bit of caffeine is actually helpful too. So I drink it with a coke. I also put some peppermint oil or a little bit of vicks vaporub across my forehead and on my temples and sometimes that helps. Sometimes taking a benadryl seems to help a little bit too. I have been miserable too! Grrr... it sucks not being able to take much of anything!

I have always gotten migraines regularly (was on medication for a while due to daily headaches a few years ago - helped a lot but not safe during pregnancy). Also not pregnant I tried narcotics (percoset, vicodin), massage, acupuncture. Tried everything to get rid of them. They got better but never completely went away. I too was hoping for relief during pregnancy like some people! BUT I've been getting them while pregnant every one to two weeks but they last for DAYS. Boy, am I a joy to be around during that time. Tylenol does nothing for me so I don't even bother with it. I have this stress relief oil given to me by a massage therapist I saw for a while. It helps to put the oil on my neck and forehead. Then I lay down in a quiet, dark room. Doesn't make it go away but relieves some of the pain.

I have always gotten bad migraines. I have been to specialist after specialist and been put on medications galore. A few years ago I started seeing a chiropractor and they are the best they have ever been!!! Shortly after I found out I am gluten intolerant but I do not think going gluten free was the real key for me (that helped my stomach) it was getting my neck adjusted. If I go too long between appointments and getting adjusted I start getting them bad again. I haven't been in a few months and I am getting them every other day lately. I am going today so I am happy. It has worked wonders for me.

Thanks for the ideas ladies. I remember having a similar problem when pregnant with my last, but I guess I don't remember it being this bad! I have headaches a lot anyway, but they are so bad and so constant lately, I just want to sleep and/or cry constantly.

My migraines have gotten out of control the last few months because I couldn't take my preventive med for them.. So when I went to my ob two weeks ago, she gave me a prescription for Esgic which is ahhhhhh-mazing!

I have terrible migraines before pregnancy and they were gone until about last week since I got pregnant. The last one lasted for two straight days with no relief in sight and I am out of sick time at work so have to struggle through the day. My doc gave me Fioricet and it has worked wonders. I have taken only two but they helped so quickly. Good luck to you!
