So I was just sitting on the couch with my hand laying on my bump, and I felt a little thunk! I'm almost positive it wasn't gas this time. I heard the first movements are more like flutters, not thuds lol. Does this sound right? This is my first pregnancy so I have no idea what to look for. If it was first movements, how frequently would I feel them? I'm sitting here just saying "Come on baby, do it again!" Opinions?
I dont really know because Im not very good at this kind of stuff, I didnt feel my son till like 22 24 weeks and I remember waiting and waiting and wondering if I would give birth to him without ever feeling him inside me. I just felt Cashew the other day but this is baby 2 for me so I know what to look for. Just know when you do know, itll be stronger as baby gets bigger what an amazing feeling it is. I was so in love after feeling Cashew this week
It could feel like flutters when baby is just squirming in there, but if baby is kicking it could very well feel like a thud! They say 16-20 or so weeks is when you should feel the first movements. Earlier for second and subsequent moms. I felt DS2 at 14 weeks, and I'm pretty sure I've been feeling this little one squirming all week, and I'm not quite 13 weeks.

A thud is most likely baby!! With my 1st pregnancy I was just about 18 weeks and felt him only about once or twice a day a first. I started feeling flutters around 16 weeks but sometimes I know it was just gas. The first real "thud" though was 2 weeks later. It's frustrating when you first feel movement that you want them to move right away again! But you'll soon be feeling those thuds many times a day!
