For not posting much today. My daughter took a bath today poured water in her ear and started screaming bloody murder. She whimpered and screamed for several minutes with my husband and I trying to calm her down. We laid her in bed and tried to get her into her ped of course no appointments. So off to urgent care we went but not after we fought with tricare about it and her peds office. (With tricare you need a referral for everything, we are living remote away from a military facility so it's complicated). Anyways she started acting fine but kept saying she needs to see a doctor. Turns out she has a pretty bad ear infection. Today was the first day she complained about her ear hurting. She is on antibiotics for 10 days. I hope she feels up to her recital on Saturday.

Hope Katelynn feels better. Antibiotics seem to clear things up pretty fast.

Poor munchkin. My little girl had a UTI a couple of weeks ago, and it's just so hard to figure out what's wrong when they can't adequately describe their symptoms...add to that a hugely traumatic phobia of the doctor, and our house is not a happy one when she's sick! Thankfully, like Tania said, antibiotics seem to kick in pretty fast. Hope your sweetie feels better quick!

Thanks ladies. I've been a mom for 5 1/2 years and this is our first ear infection. We will see how she feels when she gets up.

I hope she feels better soon! Abri used to have ear infections all the times before tubes. Usually a day on antibiotics can really make a difference in how they feel.

Having an ear infection in my house is the #1 way to getting babied until it's over. Whenever my son has one he gets away with bloody murder for a time because, you know, he's miserable and that's why, lol.

Poor girl! I know how it is with Tricare. We live at least 2 hours away from the nearest military facility so we have to go through all the complicated stuff too!

Lucky!!! My son had constant ear infections for the whole first year of his life before he had tubes put in. They are absolutely no fun

Hope your daughter gets to feeling better ASAP!
