I have been in a world of pain today with an infected tooth. The snow is coming down so thick here today and the roads are dangerous (back country) and my OB office closed early today due to the weather. I'm stuck home alone with my boys and I am in tears with so much pain.
I drive a Mercury Mountaineer but I always slide at the bottom of my hill and I am super worried about wrecking and I am just in so much pain. I took over the counter pain reliever and it has done nothing, so I had some leftover 5mg percocets from when I hurt my back before I was pregnant and I just HAD to take one.
But I never take anything wrong when I am pregnant, and I even quit smoking (almost a month now) and I am feeling really really guilty and I can't really find anything online.
Does anyone take meds like this when they are pregnant? Do you think I'm okay? Should I try to make it to the ER anyway?

I'm not sure, but I highly doubt one pill can do any irreparable damage. I don't know that I would take any more. I would try to get to the ER for your tooth as soon as it's safe. A friend of mine ad pain like that once and it turned out to be an infected abscess (sp?). If it's something like that, they'll prob want to get you on antibiotics ASAP to keep it from making you sicker and from reaching the baby. Do you have a friend with 4WD who could take you? I hope it feels better soon! (Good on you for quitting smoking, btw. Saw my dad go through that. I know it must be really are.)
I wasn't able to make it yesterday, but the roads have been cleared today, so I am going to go when hubby gets home from work. The pain isn't as bad today and being controlled with OTC painkillers. But I HAVE to get it straightened out.
