We went in for our 14 week appointment yesterday and I was super disapointed that both babies were sound asleep and did not move AT ALL!

Also their heart rates dropped...Baby A from 168 to 154 and Baby B from 162 to 145.

Is this normal for 14 weeks? The tech said so but then again they all know I'm going to a high risk doctor in two weeks for an in depth sono to check for any issues. I'm just concerned.

Here are some pics from both 12 and 14 weeks:

Baby B at 12 weeks- you can see the genital nub...any guess as to gender?? We've looked at compairsons and it looks like it could go either way.

Baby A at 12 weeks - He/She did not like the sono at all and curled up in a ball.

Baby A at 14 weeks

Baby B at 14 weeks - Sleeping on his/her belly

Yes it's normal for heir heart rates to fluctuate especially since they were sleeping. Such beautiful babies!

Their heartrates will go down while sleeping, and also they tend to slow down a little bit as they develop more too. It is normal. As long as it is within the normal range (which they are) you shouldn't worry.

I freaked out at my 12 week when I saw one baby had a low heart rate of 135 but the tech said that is normal because one was moving like crazy and the one with low heart rate was relaxing and facing us straight on so we got a weird pic. Your baby pics always turn out so good

During my last appt the baby's heartbeat was 155, it had been up in the 160's the previous appts. She said it's just because the baby is growing and will go down as it gets closer to the due date. Super cute pics!!

Love the pictures, they are so cute! If I had to guess I would also say one boy and one girl. haha but that is a total guess! This baby's heartbeat changes from 160 to 145 all the time. It is totally normal!

Sorry you're worried but what everyone is saying makes sense to me about the heart-rates. I'm sure twin pregnancies are twice as stressful and singletons are pretty stressful all their own. I hope your specialist appt. yields good results so you can relax.. LOL, as if we can do that as mothers! Anyways, my guess is a boy and a girl. No basis behind that. Just a feeling, I'm right a lot on this stuff, God only know why!

Thanks everyone. I just get super nervous. Last night I was having horrible dreams about the babies dying beause I don't drink enough water. The past two days I have been really bad about it and I had this crazy dream that every one was mad at me because of it. I guess I'm feeling guilty for it since I know I haven't been that great. I was drinking other things like milk and lemonade but not nearly as much as a I should have.
