Since this time around I'll be having the "big ultrasound" DH said he wanted to go ahead and find out the sex. We didn't have that opportunity with my last few pregnancies, and he thought it would be cool to find out. I agreed at first but then had second thoughts. Last night I told him why, and he agreed pretty much instantly.

One of the neatest thing about our homebirths is that he or I have been able to discover for ourselves whether we had a boy or girl after the birth. I can't tell you how cool that is! But if we found out at the ultrasound it would be some tech, a stranger, making the big announcement and we would miss our chance. So, we are for sure gonna stay Team Green.

Now I just hope the tech and my doc will respect that and not "accidentally" let us find out.

I've always been team green too! Just as soon as you go for a u/s mention you do not want to find out! Then they know right off the bat! Mention to your practitioner as well! Up here in Canada out dr's don't even find out what our scan is! Unless you do! Or if something needs to be investigated in that area!

Oh I wish I were able to convince my husband that easily. We have been going at it over this since we were TTC. I don't want to find out and he is dead set on finding out. I'm not sure what to do. We were team green with DD but one of the tech's ruined it for us 2 days before she was born, and it wasn't as fun in the delivery room knowing in advance. So I want my surprise!!!! But then some days, I feel it would be nice so we can prepare, because I'm such a planner. But I feel like I will be dissapointed in the end if we find out ahead. What to do.....I wish DH would just come to my side!
