So I am officially high risk my blood pressure is uncontrollable. I thought if I could control my weight (lost ten pounds) I could control my blood pressure. Looks like preeclampsia once again. I see high risk doctor on the 25th. Hopefully we will be able to find out the gender. I start seeing my reg OB every two weeks high risk once a month. Looks like a future full of appointments again. Pretty upset. Made a lot of changes to be healthier and it didn't work.

Hugs hun. You did your best and accomplished a lot, some things are just not in our control, unfortunately. Sorry things didn't work out as you had hoped!

Big hugs. Sometimes It is just beyond your control. I eat healthy. I ran a freaking marathon in Oct. and I still get spikes in my blood pressure. I never went to full blown pre-e last pregnancy but I was fairly close to being admitted several times. Sometimes our bodies just don't react well and there isn't much you can do.

Focus on what you can control - diet and weight gain so you don't aggrevate it and don't stress out about it. That only makes it worse.

Hugs

Kat.

((hugs)) My doc is watching my blood pressure pretty close - and having me check it at home frequently - because it's been higher than usual so far this pregnancy. It's one of those things that we have very little control over.

I'm sorry for the not so good news but keeping fingers crossed that you get to find out the gender at your next appt.

Question - do they take your BP right when you get into the room or do they have you rest for 5 min. before taking it? If mine is taken right away, it is through the roof but after resting on my left side for 5 min (which is the proper way to take it), it is down to normal.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, but just know, before 20 weeks it isn't pre-eclampsia. It's chronic hypertension or pregnancy induced hypertension. I have that now. It doesn't mean it will develop into pre-eclampsia. Heck, I'm even spilling protein already and they are still calling it pih.
This early on, I'm sure they'll just try you out on some bp meds. I've been on them since around 6 wks and my bp is great now. Hang in there.

I'm sorry. That must be really discouraging. I'm sure a full schedule of appts would be annoying, but at least you know you and your baby are being well cared for. Hang in there!

I'm sorry you'll be considered high risk. KUP on how your appointments go.
