How do you plan on announcing the gender once you find out? Team green mommies do you do something special after delivery? Or do you plan on just telling people?

Well I originally planned to do a gender reveal party, but now with the move and how chaotic things are, I just don't know if that's going to happen anymore We'll see I guess.

I think I will just tell our immediate family and then make a fb status.

Thinking of taking a pic of DF holding a sign that says "Soon to be outnumbered, two to one!"

We'll just call family once baby gets here. And that'll probably start the info train to others.

I'd like to do a small gender reveal party with family but we'll see. In the past we've just called everyone

No special reveal for us. #1 We are not that creative. #2 We are not patient enough to wait for whatever the event may be. #3 My family would riot if I made them wait for a special reveal. They expect phone calls... immediately after the transducer is removed from my belly.

Dh and I plan on keeping it a secret until birth. Family will know because my parents will be there waiting outside the door & my mom loves to talk. Not sure about the rest except maybe sending out announcements.

Me, my SO and my mom are finding out on the 10th. We'll probably tell SO's family since they live across the country. As far as my side, we're going to wait and my mother will plan the baby shower around the gender and surprise everyone that way. SO and I were going to wait til the baby shower (have the US tech put it in an envelope and give it to my mom only), but SO and I decided we couldn't stand to wait that long.

I always thought that if I decided to find out the gender I would have family over for a dinner. Then for dessert I would bring out a white frosted cake. When you cut the cake the inside would be tinted either blue or pink.

I read that in a magazine somewhere and I thought it absolutely marvelous, lol.

DH likes to run out and tell all our family & friends in the waiting room...last time we had like 10 people. I love the idea of a gender reveal party or photoshoot it is super cool, but not in our cards.

We were just talking yesterday about having a gender reveal party. I was thinking an ice cream social and making cake pops that reveal the gender once you bite into them. I have other cute ideas to go along with the theme. I was thinking of it even being a surprise to us as well but hubby wants to know right at the appt.

I kinda wanted it to be a surprise to us and have the tech write it in an envelope and then having a small dinner with family where we open the envelope or have a reveal. If we do that, I don't want to know until then so I can't really do a cake unless I order it. I have also heard of people giving the envelope to a party store and they put that color balloons in a sealed box and so you are all surprised together when you open the box.

Being Team Green, DH just calls my folks and his after the birth and then they tell everyone else in the family and I call/text my friends. I was thinking of, in addition to that, sending out a picture announcement to people a couple weeks after baby is born. Never done that before.

I'm thinking having my two year old hold up a sign that says I'm getting a little sister/brother and posting that on facebook, obviously telling our parents first

I am having a gender reveal party. My US is on monday, and so long as baby cooperates, our gender reveal party is on next Saturday.

I am going to ask the tech to write it down and put it in an envelope for me, take it to the grocery store with an empty box and ask to fill it with the appropriate colored balloons which i will pick up on sat before the party.

This way, I wont know the gender either until we open the box
