Are leg cramps a pregnancy thing? I've only ever had one or two like this my whole life. Last night I had a cramp so bad in the left side of my left calf that I wasn't sure what to do. I was sitting on the couch and it came out of nowhere. I could barely move it and I couldn't walk. I was rubbing it and the muscles there were so hard. It was crazy. It finally went away after about five minutes maybe? (Though it felt like a lot longer!) And then when I went to bed I got one in the back of my right calf. Same thing. But I think that time I had tried to stretch my legs out. My right calf feels super tight again now. Not cramping, but it feels like it could start any second. I just wasn't sure if that was a pregnancy thing or if I did something in my Zumba class yesterday. Or if maybe I was just dehydrated or something. I just haven't really had that happen before (and not that intense when I did have it), so I wasn't sure if it could be pregnancy related. I kind of hope not... Because it was pretty awful!
Booo for it being pregnancy related! I call them Charlie horses too, but didn't in my post bc when I told my husband last night that I had a Charlie horse he looked at me like I was nuts. So I wasn't sure if maybe it was just a southern thing to call them that? Haha. He's from Missouri and I'm from Alabama and we have different names for things sometimes! Lol.
nope and I'm in CA. They suck so bad. I put my leg out as far as I can stretch up my toes to the sky. And massage the back of my leg. I use to get them as a kid too. But nothing worse than my pregnancy ones.
Yes definitely! If you have them often it's a good idea to get more potassium! Bananas. White bean, raw spinach, baked potatoes with skin, salmon, yogurt, etc ! I had them awful in my second pregnancy it got much better after I started eating more of this stuff!
