I really really really cannot wait to find out the gender. I am so impatient. It will not be until early February probably before my anatomy scan. There is NO ultrasound places in my state. There was one an hour away when I was pregnant with my daughter and we went and that is when we found out she was a girl. It was so fun. Now, the closest place I found is 3 hours away in the next state. I just e-mailed asking the cost. How much do they usually cost? I can't remember.

Would you drive 3 hours to get a 3D 4D ultrasound?

Mine was only 40 dollars. Not sure I would drive 3 hours but I did drive 2 when I lived in WA.

She just got back to me, it is $200 for an hour long appointment with a dvd and photos. I am not sure if I can convince hubby...

I wish I could find a place to do it for $40!

That seems like an awfully far way to drive to spend $200 but that is just me. I totally understand not being able to wait!

Yeah, I don't think I am going to do it. She can't do a weekend appointment for the next 3 weeks and that practically is when my regular ultrasound is! I guess I was saved by that! I am definitely not taking a day off to go. My husband will be happy.

Mine was $50, we got amazing photos, but I think most places are more expensive than that. I would have made the 3 hour drive... we go out of town about once a month anyway. We had to drive an hour to ours.

We paid close to that for a 3D when I was 32/34 weeks with my other kids but that was an appointment like you describe but not just a gender peek.

Yep, I paid $180 for our 3D with DS. Dont remember how long it was but it included a DVD of the whole appt, with CD of pics & print outs. I was fortunate, I had it done in my OBs office.

They do a 3D where I'm going for 110-150. I am doing a 2D gender check for $40 on Monday. Can't wait!
