I think I'm going to make my own Boppy so I can fill it will down feathers and get a fabric I really like. I'm not really handy with a sewing machine so I guess this will be an adventure. I doubt it will be that hard though!

Good luck! I am not crafty at all so I look forward to see how yours turns out! Now LisaS is a craft queen! Actually a sewing wiz! You should see the wedding dress she made herself!

I looked at the pattern, and it should be really easy. If you need any help, or have any major problems when embarking, let me know, I can probably talk you through any sewing issues I used to sew for my job, and I help people out all the time!

Thanks, I'll probably need it! Sewing patterns confuse me.

One thing! Maybe sew a cover you can remove!! They tend to get spit up etc on them!! But you will love having one and they work great for catching baby when they are practising sitting up!! Good luck !!

Thanks, yea I was planning to make two removable covers for that situation. I guess they need to be done with a zipper. I fear sewing zippers! I wish my Gramma was still alive I always miss her even more when I have a sewing project.

You could maybe use Velcro? That's what I usually use! I tried a zipper once and it did not go that well! Lol post some pics when you're done!

Ah! Great idea!!! Thanks, I will probably just do that. I'm not sure when I'll get to this project. But I'm hoping soon. We'd have to get some down feathers probably from ebay and then make a trip to Joanne fabrics and then I could start. I will definitely show off if I actually accomplish this. I'll be like a proud little kid with a fingerpainting!

Impressive. I think the Boppy and covers are definitely overpriced. I don't regret getting one bc it was the only way my grandmother, who was pretty disabled for the last 7 years, was able to hold DD. That made it all worth it. But since I pumped, we didn't use it for much else. But if you can make one yourself, what a great way to save money and make the covers with exactly the material you want. Cool idea! Can't wait to see the results!

I can sew but I can't use a pattern. I've tried and tried and just can't do it. I have to free hand everything because patterns just don't work out well for me. I may attempt this though!
