We plan to tell our two children soon that they will be getting a sibling this June. I was thinking that if they could hear the heart it would seem more real. Anyone have recommendations for a decent (not expensive) fetal heart doppler) that would intrigue an 8 and 10 year old.
I love my Sonoline C. Got it for about $50 online (I can find the link if you like). Not sure what price range you were looking for, but it works great. I might also sell mine once the baby is born, just to get back like $20 or so.
I bought a pocket one online for $35 and it's compact, has two places for earplugs and works really well, especially now that I'm far enough along that it isn't hard at all to find the heartbeat and it's really strong. The website is Fetal Doppler, Fetal Dopplers, baby heart beat monitor and mine is the Baby Sound B, but there are a bunch on there to look at too. Good luck!
