My ultrasound was so horrible today, I changed Drs the moment I got home.

When I walked in for my appointment, I was obviously very excited. I walked down the hall and saw all the nurses and midwives heating up and eating their lunch (it was noon).

Then it stopped being awesome.

The us tech was a jerk. She didn't really even let me see the screen or point things out even though i kept saying "i dont know what anything is". it took her about 3 minutes to do the entire thing. I didn't even get to see the head or anything. And when I asked her for pictures, she told me she didn't bother because she didn't get any good ones.

NOT A SINGLE PICTURE!

She didn't even TRY to look for the sex....

Then she set my next US appoint for MARCH 5TH....24 weeks!!

I was in tears by the time I got home.

I immediately called and made an appointment (Jan 22) with a new office.

She must of been in a rush to get to lunch...

*hugs* I'm so sorry sweetie, that REALLY sucks!! I would have done the *exact* same thing though. Good for you finding a new doctor after that mess.

That is ridiculous! I am so glad that you switched offices. I would have done the same thing!! I am glad that you are getting in by the end of the month.

What an awful experience. I'm so glad you switched doctors immediately. There is no excuse for their blatant disregard for your feelings or RIGHTS, for that matter.

That is ridiculous! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I would have probably sat on that table and said, "Well, I guess you're just going to have to try again, aren't you?" Maybe I'm a bit confrontational... I hope you absolutely love the new office!

I think the elective is so worth it. Ours was great this morning. The lady was super sweet and they make most of their money by word of mouth, so they want you to have a wonderful experience and tell everyone you know. Check and see if they offer any specials. The place where we went offers a $40 gender check for only $40 on Mondays with an advance appt. And we got 9 pics. The regular 2D price is $75. We also got a coupon to come back for a 3D/4D for only $60. The regular price for this is $95. So we worked the deals.

Oh my gosh that is so awful and insensitive! I hope you have the most wonderful experience at the new doctors office. I think I would also treat myself to the elective ultrasound. Hugs!

This pregnancy has taken away my ability to be angry. I was never sad before this pregnancy, all I ever got was angry.

Now I just cry like a little girl everytime something doesn't go right.

Tania I have been sad alot this pregnancy also. I really hope at your next appt with the new dr you can talk about this...without your mom being there. And seriously if you need to talk...anytime...you know where to find me! Just hugs n more hugs.

I'm the opposite! I thought for sure I'd just weep at every little thing once I got pregnant, considering that I cry every time I see an ASPCA commercial and still bawl every time Bambi's mom dies, but now I just want to punch people (including my DF, some nights. Like tonight.)!

I'm so sorry it was a bad experience. You should absolutely call that office and complain about the tech. Her behavior was inexcusable.

I'm so sorry things went so bad. I would've made a stink in the office then cried about it. I cry all the time now, too. I hope your new doctor's office and appointment goes much better!

That's so terrible. I agree that an elective ultrasound is totally worth it. I think I must've gone to the same place as MarylandMama because I also did the $40 gender Monday special when I was pregnant with Miles. The experience was wonderful. ALL about making sure that you see & hear everything you desire.
