Last night a lady flew through a red light and hit my side of our van. I'm ok. They checked me out there and my bp was 180/118 so I went to the hospital where I was contracting but they thought it was maybe because of the amnio. Puppet's heartrate was good so they gave me bp meds and sent me home.
Our van is undrivable. They were supposed to send out an insurance adjuster and a tow truck today but we're having a snow day and schools are closed so I don't know if they'll be out or not. We're going to have to replace our carseats now too. I'm not sure how I'm going to get to my next doctor appointment.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, but very glad to hear you're ok. Is there a friend or neighbor who would be able to drive you to your appt? If not, you could even try contacting a local church. Some churches will just help people out with things like that as a way to serve the community. Hugs to you!

Huge hugs hun. Insurance should take care of the car seats.

I am very sorry about the accident. Please tell me the other lady was insured. If she was, her insurance company is required to provide you with a rental since your only vehicle is not drivable.

oh my gosh that is so scary! I'm glad that you and the baby are ok!! Hopefully the other car has insurance, and that you will be able to get this taken care of quickly. Insurance *should* cover the car seats, but if for whatever reason they wouldn't, some counties/states have programs to help people get reduced rate car seats if they are in need in instances such as this.

OMIGOD! Did you jump out and throttle her? I would have throttled her. When I'm pregnant my road rage jumps to 11. I can't tolerate stupid drivers.

And yes, her insurance company SHOULD be calling you any minute now to help you get a rental. The rental person will drive to your house and pick you up. They may also have car seats for you to use as well. Make SURE you tell the woman's insurance company about the car seats! They will have to pay for those if they're an extra charge at the car rental place, which also means you will require a bigger car.

When my Jeep got rear-ended I got a much bigger allowance from the other person's insurance company to get a car to accommodate my car seat. It was super nice

If her insurance does not call soon you need to call them with her information.
