Since my u/s at 13 weeks and again at 15 weeks baby boy has been measuring over a week ahead in all areas (CRL, BPD, femur length etc.) Doctor has changed my due date to June 9th instead of the 16th. I always thought earlier ultrasounds were the most accurate and that the later ones can really vary and don't necessarily warrant a change in due date?

Mine has, but not by as much. I was 6 weeks 3 days when I went for my first US, but measured at 6 weeks 6 days, so was told that was what we'd go by because the early US dating is considered the most accurate. But at my last appt doc put me back to the original date (unsure why, but it's only 3 days).

I was under the same impression as you, that the later US measurements aren't nearly as accurate and they don't usually changes dates for them.

Usually a 10 day difference warrants a change. My midwives prefer to go with the later date in case of going over to give a little more time.

At my 9 week u/s, they changed my date. It was 6/16 according to my LMP but they changed it to 6/13 based on u/s measurements.

What is weird is I got the lab report for the first round of bloodwork and measurements for the NT scan and they had baby measuring 3 days ahead and had my due date as 6/10. Of course, that was from a lab and not my dr so maybe the due date on the sheet had more to do with the u/s measurements. My dr won't change dates later in pregnancy unless they are significantly off.
