My super expensive mattress I bought...10 years ago...is shot. I can't sleep on my stomach anymore, and spend all night rolling around. By the time i get up, I am sore, everywhere. I can't afford to buy a new super duper expensive mattress right now, but I can't imagine waiting until income tax returns either. I don't know what to do. But this can't keep happening.

Can you get a decent matress at a decent price?? Or can you get it on a store card and then pay it off when you get returns?

What about a mattress topper to get you by for a while? It may not make a huge difference but might help a little at least.

We can't afford a new bed right now either, but mine was absolutely killing me. We got a mattress topper for it and it made a big difference. But that's just because ours was too firm. I like a firm mattress, but it needs something soft on top of it.

We've gotten decent ones at Walmart or similar stores before, and even a super cheap one at Dollar General once upon a time. Just depends on what you're needing and how much you're willing to spend to get by.

The one we have right now was given to us as a gift, but in the past we've been able to find decent ones at Walmart for less than $100.

Something like this - Magic Loft Mattress Topper - Walmart.com

Or this - Cuddle Bed 400-Thread Count Mattress Topper - Walmart.com

I don't like the memory foam mattress toppers, personally. I find they don't breathe very well, and even when it's cold I wake up sweaty and clammy. I like the fiber-fill mattress toppers best. They're better than the feather ones too - the feather ones are expensive, and you get poked with feathers as they work their way out of the material.
