OMG someone please help me!!!!

I have been the WORST Charley horses. I mean I am in so much pain I'm screaming and crying. I eat bananas and drink orange juice every day. I've tried every way of "stopping" it from ice packs, heating pads, pointing my toes, stretching my leg, anything and everything that people have mentioned.

Does anyone have any other ideas. It is so bad I get them about once a week but the soreness lasts for about 3 to 4 days afterwards.

You might need to take an extra potassium supplement? I'd ask your OB.

Keep eating bananas! Also, try and stretch the muscles that are prone to tightening up every day (not when you're experiencing a charley horse). My personal trainer said that can help.

I've been getting those too. They suck! If you find something that works, let me know!

As soon as I would feel it begin to tighten I would jump right up and start walking. My feet cramped up a lot as well. Nothing would stop that except to dunk them in hot water.

Calcium and magnesium. When I did the Atkin's diet (AWFUL! But I was 20 and it worked super quickly so I stayed on it way too long) I would get the most terrible leg cramps. Taking a supplement helped almost immediately. At least now I know how to keep them at bay during pregnancy, but I wouldn't recommend that terrible diet to anyone!
