Since we've been posting about nurseries, I've been on a search. We are team green but don't want to use white or beige. Came across this nursery and I am in love but dh says it is way too girly

I think certain aspects are girly but if swapped with different curtains or chair it could be more gender neutral.

Very pretty. I agree with MamaSkunk about changing certain aspects.

Love it! There are definitely a few girly aspects but color-wise I think it's pretty neutral.

That's really cute! It would be really easy to switch out the more femine accessories for something more neutral while still keeping the overall look

Very cute!! I agree, just swap out the pink stuff for a boyish color and done. I sew mainly the curtains and the art piece on the bookcase as the source of girly vibe, but those are small things to replace.

Did you know that in Victorian times, pink was considered a strong, masculine colour and blue was considered soft and feminine?

When we had DD, we didn't find out until the very end of the pregnancy - after our baby shower - that we were finding a girl. So pretty much everything we had was gender neutral. We decorated the room with a baby jungle animal theme, in shades of purple, yellow, green, and blue, with gingham backgrounds. When we found out we were having a girl, we quickly decided to paint the room a very, very pale lilac that went perfectly with the decorations. Had it been a boy, we would have painted light blue or light green, and the decorations still would have worked. I loved that nursery.

Love it love it love it. This one is very much my style. And I think yellow or green curtains would make it less girly, though I don't really think it is anyway.

I like it but I personally wouldn't use it for a boy.

Thanks ladies for the suggestions!

We're going to change the curtains to this color:

Change the chair to this

With a cushion like this

DH thinks we should use a darker wood color instead of the light color wood in the picture. I guess it's inevitable that we'll use white, although we were trying not to.
