How do you relax?
Do you do it often?

Yesterday my husband worked from home - and by worked I mean had his phone handy to answer any IT questions or issues that might arise - and so we spent the afternoon watching episodes of Star Trek: Voyager (yes, we're big geeks). We had a fire in the fireplace, I had a nice warm cup of decaf coffee, and a cat snuggling on my lap, and DD snuggling next to me (she's a mini-geek in training, she loves Star Trek!). I can't imagine a more relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

I sit on my lazy butt and browse this forum for relaxation. Baths are too much effort.

I get massages and I sew, read, or watch TV. The massages aren't as often as I'd like...maybe every 3 months now vs. every 2 weeks back when I was working, but I get 90 minute massages these days and it's HEAVEN. I have a girl's night once a week where my friends come over and we all sew together. And I always have time to read or watch TV when the kids go to bed every night. I HAVE to have my time to unwind or I'm cranky. And DH doesn't like dealing with a cranky me, so he makes sure I get it.

After we moved this past summer, I decided not to work and we don't have kids YET so, I relax a lot!

THIS, except I quit after last school year when we decided to start TTC. I sub, but only a few times a week, if that. So I relax ALL THE TIME I keep getting told to enjoy it... :-P

About the extent of my relaxing is my daily bath or shower. But even then, I still have the kids asking for stuff outside the bathroom door lol.

I need a vacation!

My relaxation is what little time I get after the girls go to bed. If DH is home, we watch tv together. If he's not home, I sit on the couch with my iPad on JM while my dogs cuddle next to me

Really relax? Not often, but am right now! DD is in bed, DH is picking up his mom at the airport and taking her to her hotel, and I just enjoyed a bowl of creamy homemade Mac and cheese (I realized I had only eaten about 700 calories today, whoops!), and am watching last week's Top Chef. Just wish I could have a nice glass of wine...
