They confirmed that she is indeed a girl, which we knew from our elective u/s. The tech, who had guessed girl at our NT scan was very pleased with herself that she has never been wrong when she has made a guess at the NT. Everything looked good, except for one choreoplexis (sp?) cyst on the right side of her brain. The doctor didn't show up, so after she does and looks at it, they will call us for a follow up u/s to make sure that it is shrinking/goes away. We are not too concerned since DD had larger ones and one on each side of her brain. And she is just fine, and quite smart, if I do say so myself. Pretty much, we get another u/s or two covered by insurance. They just do the early, NT, and anatomy scan unless medically indicated and this is. So, all in all, I am quite pleased. My little girl was quite cooperative and the tech was able to get all of the measurements we needed without a problem. We even saw her curled up with her feet tucked underneath and her butt up (like the adorable way babies sleep), so that was really cute. And I guess we weill find out when they call when we will go for another looksy.
Awww so cute the way she was sleeping . Glad you got a confirmed girl and best wishes for the cyst. Sounds like nothing to worry about like you said. My DS gets Pylar Cysts on the back of his head sometimes. They happen bc of sweat glands and it's hereditary. I have sweat gland problems too.
