Baby is measuring a little small...about 17 weeks...i should be almost 18. U/S tech was about 85-90% sure that baby is:

A girl!
I am very excited but at the same time not totally convinced lol. I figured, even if I am only measuring 17 weeks the tech would have been able to get a better shot. I mean baby was spread wide open but she just couldn't see much. Tech kept saying she couldn't see any boy parts but wasn't 100% sure. UGH lol Anyone else experiencing this??? I've been feeling like it's a girl since i had my positive hpt but i thought by this point it'd be more certain! As of now, they don't plan on doing anymore u/s so I think if we buy any girl items we'll keep the tags on...just in case lol

I wouldn't be able to deal with 85-90%! I'd be so nervous lol

ah i know right?! i have been dyyyying to find out the gender and to hear only 85-90% was kind of a bummer lol. but i gotta hand it to the tech, she did try her best. she had me roll side to side several times and kept checking thru out the u/s. i'm thinking of using some of our tax returns to get an elective done now!

I would have to do the elective scan!! We had one done at 16 weeks and our tech said 100% boy. We'll get to double check at the anatomy scan, but I'm sure he's a boy. It was obvious. They can be expensive, but ours was only $50 and the quality was great.

I think it looks like a little girl! But I am an untrained eye lol. Congratulations! But like the other ladies said, maybe hold off on a lot of purchases until you can have it confirmed

I am in the same exact boat as you! They didnt give us a percentage but said they were "pretty sure" it was a girl, but not sure enough to write it down... I plan on keeping tags. I am even more hesitant because i want a little girl so bad, i dont want to feel disappointed if i get my hopes up and it's not. I am getting another us though because they have to check on the placenta issue they saw.

My sonographer told me I was having a girl with the caveat that they are more likely to be wrong with a girl prediction than a boy prediction & my baby was moving do much she had a hard time seeing everything. So I haven't said a word and I'm trying not to think about it. I get another u/s at 28 weeks & if she still says girl then maybe ill believe her then.
