Note to self: do not walk Fiona to school the day after a snow storm followed by freezing rain. It is soooooo slippery out today. Fiona held my hand the whole way and warned me of slippery spots, (she's such a sweetheart) and she still managed to keep me from falling half a dozen times. The walk home took twice as long because I was being so careful. Wrenched the muscles along side my belly several times. Major ouch. No harm done though, Finn is kicking away in there, happy as a clam. I'll just take it easy today and definitely use the car for after school pick up.

Yikes, no fun! I hate snowy/icy weather. Just be careful!

yes we had a thunderstorm last night. In Wisconsin in January, very odd. Highways are closed and lot of people in ditch. Parking lots are glare ice. I made it to work ok.

Where do you live Joanne?

I live in a suburb of Toronto. It's raining now, and supposed to all day tomorrow too. It's supposed to be quite warm tomorrow, about 55 degrees, so hopefully all the snow and ice will have melted by Thursday when the temp drops again.

I actually love the snow, but I definitely dislike ice and slush. It's been a fairly mild winter so far, only a couple of snow storms and no crazy low temperatures. But honestly, after living in Arizona for the last 8 years, I welcome the winter weather. It's wonderful to actually have seasons here. Summer is highly anticipated and people really make the most of it. In Arizona it's hot year round and there's nothing to look forward to except the end of scorching heat in October.

Be careful! It's things like that that make me so thankful we only get snow or ice about once or twice a year.
