They have successfully re-homed 2 of their dogs! I know it's not all of them, but it is a start, and they were the 2 WORST dogs. One was the big huge pitbull that I was afraid of, and the other was the riot starter that pooped and peed constantly. So now they have 2 that are their's, and 2 that are mine. I know it's still 4, but it is 4 well-behaved (100% potty trained!) dogs. (plus the house is a large farm house with 10 acres, so there IS room for 4 that are properly trained). And one of my dogs can fit in your pocket anyway.

Also, they have agreed to start marriage counseling and make this a happier home environment. They start next week. I had a very long talk with my father and it turned out he felt exactly the same way I did about the condition of the house, both physically and emotionally. I told him I wasn't moving to my mother in law's because I wanted to, but because I had to. So he also agreed to turn our front room into a baby play room! THe front room is completely shut off with french doors from the dogs all day. It has never had a dog step foot in it! So he has started to clear things out for me!

I also spent a week at my MILs and that woman drove me insane.

I am so overjoyed that my parents have decided my son and I are more important than the dogs and being miserable. I just pray with fingers crossed they continue with these plans! I told them if they didn't, I WILL be gone, bottom line.

Wow I am impressed that they listened to you and rehomed the dogs that quickly. Great news that you can begin to feel more comfortable there.
