That sounds like it. It could also be really bad RLP. My uterus pulls to the right and it tugs something awful at the tendons/ligaments in my left leg and makes it very difficult and painful to walk. Because of this my back will ache a lot.

Sounds like what I have, which is SI Joint dysfunction. It's often misdiagnosed as sciatica. Basically the joint that connects your hip to your spine gets all loose from the relaxin hormone that we produce during pregnancy. Hurts like a b*tch. Walking aggravates it. Stairs too. Also try not to cross your legs when you sit, that aggravates it as well. Only thing you can do is use heat and Tylenol. It sucks, there are a lot of days when I can barely walk. But it goes away after the baby is born, so that's good.

Do the heating pad for a limited amount of time (that much extra heat can be dangerous...according to some, lol). I took hot showers and turned the force on full blast and stood there with my back bent. Massages also help a lot. You can get a tennis ball and put it under where it hurts and roll your whole body up and down on it. You may laugh but I did this when it was very bad and it really did feel wonderful.

Tylenol is also safe to use

Oh! Sleep! lol, I've been sleeping on the couch for the last month because of hip/pelvis/back pain

I put two pillows up against the arm of my couch and lay on my side at a slight incline. It really does take the pressure off and makes me oh so comfy. It might also help to put a pillow between your knees and to hug a pillow to keep your shoulders straight and supported.

I've been having very similar pain. It's worse for me when I get out of bed in the morning or after sitting for too long.
