Now that we learned we are having a girl we are going nursery shopping today. Please note that I absolutely adore my sons. My kids are the best part of my life - ahead of everything else by ligthyears. I admit though that I have always wanted a daughter and cannot wait to do a girly nursery. The tech and the doc each looked at the ultrasound and said girl parts. Let's hope they are right
As I am getting ready, for some reason I am just nervous about everything going well in this pregnancy. We have already named our daughter (Ellianna) and I feel so attached. Part of my just wants June to be here so I can hold her in our arms and know that she is just fine. It is not that I dislike pregnancy. I just want her here full time and healthy looking up at me while I hold her.
I know how you feel. I'm just about anxious for June to get here! I feel so blessed I've had 3 other healthy kids.. It's like I'm tempting fate asking for four!! I'm sure I'm just paranoid and everything will be fine!
You have a fun time shopping! I loved getting little boy stuff last time after my two girls!!
I am also a somewhat nervous preggo. I don't love being pregnant, I want the baby HERE before I get too attached. We never call the baby by their planned name before they are here, for example. Just like last time, I am waiting until pretty far into the 3rd trimester before I buy a lot of stuff and set up, I just plan and maybe buy a few small things until then. I don't think your feelings are strange at all. I want June to be here asap too *hug*
I feel the same way thats why I realy want to wait till june to get anything for baby. Im scared of something going wrong then I have a house full of baby things as a reminder. But im going to trust in god that things will be just fine and buying most of thr babies things in march when we get our tax money. Enjoy shopping for your baby, let us know what you buy!!!
I also think the more informed you are the more cautious you are as you go along so a 3rd time mama definitely is going to be looking at pregnancy differently.
It is terrifying just how many things can go wrong and that there is no true "safe" time well until the baby is in your arms then its a whole nother ball of wax to worry about. It's all part of being a mom and the fact that you are so concerned shows how great of a mom you are. =)
I try to embrace each day because god forbid something does happen, it will be a day that I was able to share with this baby in whatever way I could. I talk to the baby, sing, rub my belly all the time. It helps me. =)
That being said - the odds of something happening are REALLY low but when you are connected to a forum with so many pregnant women we become all too aware of the problems just from the sheer amount of people. So try to take comfort in that and relax a bit. =) A little girl will be so much fun!
Thanks ladies. Looks at lots of furniture. I am completely undecided. Did manage to get the cutest outfit for when she is 9 months old and a snowsuit What can I say It is the time of year for clearance sales. I "think" I found the perfect curtains. Who says you cannot design a room around curtains.
