I have been throwing around some names to DH and he realy likes the name Alexander Saxon but I love the name Hunter Wyatt. Do you think I should try to push more toward the name I love or just let him use the name he is set on? What name do you like better?

I love Hunter Wyatt.....and I hate Alexander Saxon (mostly because the middle name) Hunter was on my love list but it didnt go well with our last name and I love how well wyatt sounds with it. If thats the name you love then push your DH toward it. In my opinion you should both like the name but in the end YOU should get final naming say so not him. He isnt the one going thru labor and birthing that baby.

I like both names- I tend to lean more towards old fashioned in my taste so I like Alexander a little better. Saxon is a really interesting name idea. Where did you guys come up with it?

I think both sound nice. Dh & I both happily agreed on ds1, with ds2 I couldn't decide so dh picked and although I wasn't in love with it then, we realized later that it totally fits him (named after my grandpa), with ds3 dh didn't like the name I picked out, but I loved it more & more so he conceded as long as he got to pick the middle name. I wouldn't push my dh into picking the name I wanted, but I'd say find some way to compromise or let him win. . .you'll fall in love with it eventually because its the name of your son.

I'm of the mindset that both of you should like the name...but if push comes to shove and he just won't compromise, pull out the "I'm carrying this baby for 9 months" card seriously though, what about Alexander Wyatt or Hunter Saxon or basically some combo where you both get a name that you want?

DH hates the name Hunter and wont budge on that not one bit. And I love the name but also love the name Saxon but as a first name not middle name. We found the name Saxon in a old baby name book from the early 90's

I tend not to do popular names.. they both are very popular, so I would not do either .. Nolan was almost a Wyatt, but our last name is Walker, I can just imagine Wyatt Walker Texas Ranger crap lol..

I say keep thinking on it, we still have 20 weeks

I second the Saxon Wyatt suggestion. Everybody wins! Or keep looking until you find one you both love. Kiefer was almost Ryland. It's a surname from my great grandparents and I loved it for a first name, DF loved it for a middle name. In the end, we found Kiefer and Ryland was a thing of the past.

I love Hunter and Alexander but don't like Wyatt or Saxon.. I think Hunter Alexander would be adorable! But it's of course your choice just throwing in my opinion, not that it will matter. It's your baby Good luck choosing with your husband!
