I went to bed around midnight last night and woke up at 4 am. My husband got home from work around 4:30 and got in the bed about 5. I was still awake. He falls asleep in about 2 minutes and starts snoring SO LOUD. He's sick and I feel bad for him, but I can't go back to sleep! I have tried waking him up by getting in and out of the bed, coughing really loud, grabbing his arm, pushing his shoulder... And nothing is working! Usually one of those things wakes him up so he stops, but ahhhhh! I don't have anywhere else to go sleep, we don't have anther bed, and I don't sleep well on the couch. I am about to give up and go watch tv though because this is ridiculous. All I wanna do is get a few more hours of sleep!!
I went through this exact problem last week. DH goes to bed super early because gets up at 4am for work, so he's always sleeping when I go to bed. He was sick last week too, so every night when I went up to bed he was sleeping on his back and snoring like crazy because he couldn't breathe. It was awful. Thankfully it was short-lived. Hope you get some sleep soon.
I finally just gave up. I only have an hour left to sleep and it isn't worth it. I'll just hope I can get a nap this afternoon! I won't be home until around 2 this afternoon and have to babysit at 5 until probably around midnight, so going to bed early doesn't work either. However... With our anatomy scan tomorrow, I probably wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight anyway! I'm so anxious and excited about it!
I guess today will be one of those days I allow myself a little caffeine!
