So, I thought we had decided on Roman Alexander for a boy, but apparently not. It's still in the running, but not 100% yet. We also like Porter, which was our original boy name before I was even pregnant. But we're having a hard time finding something that flows well with Porter. Maybe Alexander, but I don't know if I like how they both end in "er". Does anybody have any suggestions?

I think Roman Alexander is an awesome name! I think Alexander works fine with Porter, too. If you don't like the double -er, maybe Porter Andrew or Porter Ryan? I am so bad with boys names...

Thanks! Alexander works better with Porter than anything else we have come up with & it's my brother & my nephew's middle name, so it's a family name which I like. I think Porter and Roman are our top two. I just wish my husband would commit! I want this kid to have a name!!

Love Roman Alexander! So strong sounding. Do not like Porter at all for a name.

Thanks y'all! We still can't decide. I guess as long as we figure it out before he is born, that's all that matters. Haha. Though I would rather go ahead and figure it out now!

That's what my sister said too. But I knew several kids named Porter growing up, so I guess that's why I don't see it as just a last name.

She also told me that I didn't have any good nicknames out of our choices. Bc she and her husband named all their kids so that they would have nicknames. (Isabella goes by Bella, Sophia by Sophie, etc

We may end up with something else, who knows. Haha.

I love Roman Alexander!! I suggested Roman for this baby but it got vetoed. I think Alexander still works with Porter. The only Porter I know is a woman, but I still think it's more of a masculine name.

I don't know about you but I personally prefer names where you CAN'T create a nickname. Its a reason why we want Alexander as a middle name and not a first name because I don't want Alex. I like Michael but I don't want Mike etc. You can always make up something cute that has nothing to do with the name if it can't be shortened to something
