So I got about 5 boxes of boy clothes to go through. Pretty excited about that. Also there were like 6-7 sleep sack thingys She also gave me a sunshade, a baby carrier, a jonny jump up. A booby pillow with cover I washed. then I got a Graco carseat/base plus stroller from here. I was going to buy this new esp the carseat but I know it's safe and wasn't in an accident because I know here well. Also they are brown in color which I dislike but I figured this stuff may only be used for the first 6 months so big deal. All we need to get is an additional base. I can buy a new car seat and stroller when he outgrows that. It's hard to turn down such a deal!!! Then I can spend money on other stuff for baby.

I just couldn't see not using this stuff that is in good shape just so i could have something new in a certain color. I did give here like 40 bucks for all this stuff but I had to force her to take that even.

Were there some Jonny Jump ups recalled?? Just in case.

Please be careful using a used car seat. I know you know her well but other than accidents the car seat cover should not be put in the dryer or the straps should not be submerged in water. Also check the expiration date on the seat. They are usually good for 5 years from their manufactured date and there should be a sticker telling you when it was manufactured. You can order a new cover for be car seat through graco. I hope there are some great finds in the boxes.

Car seats are just that one item that I truly feel should be a new purchase.

That's awesome! I have a friend at work who passes stuff down to me for DD. She has since DD was like 2 and it is AWESOME. I know her and her clothes are so nice and taken care of. She has given me Keens, snowpants, jackets, and soooo many clothes it has saved a ton of money.

I am so glad this baby is a girl for the financial aspect! I already have tubs and tubs of clothes for her.

You could speak to her about how she washed it ect. It comes down to a personal choice. I really hope I'm not making you feel bad.

sweet!
we also got two boxes of barely used clothes from my friend with a six month old
Its great to not have to spend more on those things

I don't think the Johnny jump up things were recalled
DS had one, was bought at Target, they still sell them
He loved the hell out of that thing

My SIL's co-worker gave her a ton of boxes of boy clothing and she gave it all to me. It was about 14 months worth of free clothing. Now the boxes are all run out and we have to buy the next size up

Thankfully I had the presence of mind to keep the clothing organized so if this one is a boy I need only crack open a box and go in order.
