I dont feel well, my head hurts it came on suddenly after dinner. My DH was sick on Thursday night into Friday, throwing up, diarrhea, fever, etc He never got out of bed all Friday. Today he had a slight fever in the morning but got up and seems ok now. We werent sure if it was food poisoning since Drake has some diarrhea yesterday too but overall seemed ok. I felt fine yesterday and today and now have this sudden headache. I made dinner tonight and tried this egg veggie thing but the entire thing was kind of wet overall so I was worried the whole time the eggs werent cooked well enough since it was so hard to tell. My DH said it was cooked and it seemed like it when I was eating it but now Im paranoid again. Im scared Im either coming down with what my DH had or I ate bad undercooked eggs and either case Im a little freaked out for baby now. I just felt her move so thats good but whats the worst that can happen? Am I overreacting a little? Just worried.

Salmonella is what you get from undercooked eggs. It is not fun, but will not hurt your baby, unless indirectly like you get really dehydrated or something. Similarly for viral illness, just watch out for fever, a fever of 101 or higher should be brought down asap. But just headaches and vomiting and other such misery will be yucky for you but not hurt the baby.

Try to rest hun!!! Hugs and feel better soon! Just make sure you don't get a high fever, stay hydrated, and baby will be fine! The placenta is really good at only giving baby nutrients and shielding them from whatever your system is battling.

Getting salmonella from undercooked eggs is fairly rare, it's actually more common to get something like that from lettuce. It's even less heard of if you eat cage free, organic eggs.

Hope you didn't get sick. Sometimes I get really bad headaches during pregnancy (I blame it on hormones). I usually try to keep hydrated and take it easy. Hope you're feeling better.
