Ive had both a girl and now a boy on the way and I am convinced that boys are more difficult pregnancies as my DD was a complete cakewalk pregnancy. So Im trying to see if theres any truth to this speculation lol. So its poll time!!

Im not sure how to vote. Do you want previous pregnancies too?

For what its worth I seem to have easy pregnancies in general, no morning sickness, little symptoms and while this one is easy compared to a lot of woman (its a girl) my son was easier. I dont know if the difference is because this time Im more tired because I have another child to take care of as well, or its just cuz Im older this time around, or just pregnancies are different no matter what but the hunger, tiredness, and some additional achey things are more often and frequent this time around making it harder for me in comparison even though Im sure I have it easy still compared to a lot of woman

My pregnancy has been pretty easy, I think. I don't have anything to compare it to, except from what I know of other people's pregnancies. I had a little morning sickness, but nothing major and it went away around 11 weeks. Other than my tailbone pain and being tired, I haven't had a whole lot of other symptoms!

(And it's a boy!)

All my pregnancies were the same. Everett's was a tad easier but all very similar.

I think both of mine have been pretty easy, though not exactly a cake walk. DD's was just a tiny bit more difficult because I had m/s a few weeks longer, but with Henry it hit earlier and was more intense. It lifted a lot sooner, though. Since then all of my symptoms have been pretty much the same. No major complications (which is why I chose easy) but definitely uncomfortable.

I'm not going to vote because I'd be sure to skew the results. I think if you are pregnant often enough you will eventually prove every generality, speculation, and old wives' tale wrong. I've had a pretty even mix of boys and girls, each pregnancy has been slightly different with intensity of symptoms, etc. But all my pregnancies have been relatively "easy" and enjoyable. I think the ease of pregnancy has more to do with Mom than with Baby.

I think it can depend on the number of pg and your age. Our fist was a super easy pg. Our second was easy - I had lots of bleeding and pre-term that was controlled. In the end a full term pg with a healthy son. So the first two boys and different. This time a girl. Increased sickness the first trimester. However, NO bleeding and the doc thinks low risk for preterm. More tired - although I was 29, 30 (nearly 31) and now 39. I think the age could be a huge factor in energy.

My two boys were completely different pregnancies. My first was super easy, my second wasn't bad, but then had some complications at the end. They were so different people were convinced I was having a girl the second time.

This pregnancy has been kind of a mix, harder at times, then not so bad. I think it has more to do with the fact that I'm 10 years older now than I was with my first.

All of them have been about the same and easy. A few weeks of nausea and fatigue from weeks 6-10 and basically that's it. I used to think that girls were a bit harder pregnancy wise but now I'm not so sure that's true.

My girl pregnancies were both "harder" than my boy pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. But they haven't been bad overall...just more nausea and food aversions. When I was pregnant with my DS, I didn't have any food aversions and could pig out to my heart's content and I didn't get all bloated and gigantic looking, even though I gained the same amount of weight as I did with my first daughter's pregnancy. 24 weeks into my second girl pregnancy, I still have a nasty taste in my mouth half the time and the cankles are already forming, even though I've only gained 11 lbs so far.

Mine have been very similar. Tons of exhaustion and nausea in 1st tri, then I feel pretty good when that lifts. Overall I called them both easy since no real complications. One girl and one boy.

Honestly, this has been my easiest pregnancy so far (once I got past the horrid morning sickness). With my others, my hormones were all crazy so I was an emotional trainwreck, I had constant UTI's, and ended up in the hospital with both pregnancies with kidney infections and stones. This one, I'm mostly in control of my emotions and I have not had one urinary issue so far (knock on wood!)

Easy girl, tough boy...holding true for me! My first pregnancy with DD was so easy. Very very minor pregnancy symptoms. This one with my little guy has been reaaaaalllly hard. MS and aches and pains and fatigue and you name it. Every icky symptom, I've had it!

I am not having an easy pregnancy with this girl BUT I can promise you, she is much much EASIER than the boys were.

I was bed ridden with the boys. I can actually move around and do stuff with this pregnancy. I just continue to vomit. But I vomit and move on.

Both of my pregnancies have been pretty easy....boy first and now a girl. I barely had any symptoms with Connor except horrible heartburn later in the pregnancy. And now with a girl I had some nausea and bad fatigue in the first trimester and now the heartburn has been hitting in the past week.
