Yesterday my dad bought me awesome new winter boots for my birthday - so today I got to walk Fiona to school without slipping on the ice and my feet actually stayed warm! I have a hard time spending that much money on something for myself (no problem spending that much on the kids for some reason!) and so I just kept saying I'd make due with the boots I had...threadbare Uggs (knockoffs - Payless brand) that had absolutely no tread left on them. I can't count the number of times I nearly slipped on my butt walking Fiona to and from school. So woo-hoo for new boots!
My big woo-hoo for this pregnancy is that I'm getting my little boy. I know I said I'd be happy whether it was a boy or a girl, but I'm so excited that I'll have one of each - my perfect little family!
I just found out that I got an A (a 94!) on a test I had for school last week. I was having a hard time remembering ANYTHING when I studied (thank you pregnancy brain) and I know I used the wrong words for lots of things in my essay questions. I could remember what letter they started with, but couldn't remember the actual words. I have NO idea how I got an A, but I will take it... I'm in shock!
I also was excited because I went to Kroger today to get some groceries and avocados (as well as other produce that I needed/wanted to buy) were on sale 10 for $10! I have been obsessed with avocados lately! So, that made me happy!
For my pregnancy... I'm just so excited to be feeling him kick now and that my husband can feel it. It makes me giggle when he kicks and he gets to feel it. We have so much to do (which is stressing me out), but I'm so excited for our little man to be here!!
