So DH, DD, and two of the kids I work with have nasty colds. I am starting to feel the slightest bit stuffy myself, although I am obviously hoping to avoid any real problems. Other than tea and vaporub, does anyone know of anything safe to take in pregnancy? When I'm not pregnant, Advil Cold and Sinus is my go to, but I think every ingredient in that is off limits during pregnancy. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sorry, there's basically nothing just Tylenol and Benadryl which is a joke. Your OB may be okay with you taking Sudafed or you may be able to get prescribed Flonase nasal spray but that's about it. I had a sinus infection for WEEKS and ended up on antibiotics for it. It was misery.

Lots of hot showers, hot tea, keeping your bedroom humidified, and maybe a neti pot will help get the snot out though. Lots of fluids, honey, garlic, spicy food, citrus. Good luck!!!

My list from my OB office has Tylenol Cold, Mucinex (just not D or DM), and Robitussin (again, no DM). Feel better. Opinions vary a lot by OB... I seem to have pretty good luck with Tylenol Cold.

I had the cold from hell for about a week. I feel your pain. I couldn't sleep because of the coughing. I ended up trying vicks on the bottoms of my feet and it helped a lot. I also mixed honey and cinnamon and took it by the teaspoon at night before bed to help with the scratchy throat. Good luck and I hope you all feel better soon!

Not pregnant, I do this with peppermint essential oil and it is amazing! But I've read a lot of caution about using essential oils in pregnancy so it makes me nervous. But def the best decongestant ever!
