So two days ago i had a 3D ultrasound of my little Maddie .... She looks so beautiful and it was so great to see her!! But that night, i had about 6-7 very strong contractions (i almost vomited when they came on) and then afterwards I had a little diarrhea. I went to bed and woke up the next day and everything was fine....??? Do you think the Ultrasound was to blame? I have no idea because i have never experienced anything like that before. The contractions was so strong-- starting in my back and radiating around to the front with a definite start and stop. I just don't know what to make of it now...? any thoughts?

Are you dehydrated? Cramps/braxton hicks can get more powerful and painful if you aren't drinking enough water or get enough electrolytes. That would also explain the diarrhea.

Call your doctor to get looked at just in case. I doubt it has anything to do with the ultrasound.

Yea the diarrhea could cause dehydration and the more dehydrated you are the stronger the Braxton hicks can be.

I had an episode similiar to that a few weeks ago ..I drank a lot of water and luckily it was close to bedtime so I was able to get the baby to sleep an rest.. they eventually went away and ive been ti e since so I figure it was from being dehydrated and just over doing myself.

Oh yes, overworking yourself can do it, too. I remember with Alex I would find myself getting out of breath very easily and then the cramping/back aches would begin.
