Last night, hubby and I DTD and afterwards there was a lot of blood. We both had to shower off, and we were kinda freaked out. It wasn't painful or anything, so I'm hoping it was just like something tore maybe?? The bleeding didn't continue so that's good. This never happened during my first pregnancy. I had a very small amount of light pink spotting after DTD a few months ago, but last night was bright red and a lot of it. Sorry...gross. Has this happened to anyone else??

Depends on what lots is. It does happen though. The vessels are very engorged in that area. As long as it stopped without contractions it is generally OK. You might want to just call the dr office and confirm.

Well it wasn't running down my legs or anything. But I told hubby it looked like I shot him in the junk. Ha. I'm gonna call my OB when they open in about 20 minutes.

It happened with DH and I with my last pregnancy....and about this time now that I think about it. We practiced using different positions where he couldn't get as deep and that helped.

Just got off the phone with the nurse. She said it's very common as pregnancy progresses because the cervix becomes more vascular. And as long as the bleeding stops within 24hrs, it's ok. That's good, cuz it hasn't been 12 hours yet and it has already stopped. Whew!

That happened every single time we had sex last pregnancy. Come to find out, my placenta was very close to my cervix so I was put on pelvic rest until it moved.

One of my friends mentioned that to me, but the techs didn't mention it at my ultrasounds so I'm assuming it's in the right place. Although pelvic rest sounds good to me! I have no drive whatsoever.

I was going to say the cervix too - even when not pregnant depending on the time of the month if I'm on top I can get a little bit of bleeding after dtd. Glad to hear it cleared up!
