Twice yesterday I experienced what felt like really long lasting Braxton hicks but with PAIN. The first time was after DTD and the second was after anchor and a half of packing boxes. I could feel my uterus get really hard and stay that way or about 5 mins and really hurt, especially on the underside of my belly. Has anyone else experienced this? If it hadn't gone away both times, I would have called my midwife. Since it did go away, I figured things are ok. Has anyone else experienced this? I have an appointment on Friday, so I will mention it then, but thought I would check with you ladies in the meantime.
I had repeat ones last night. They did not last 5 minutes though. I know they are normal. (I did have PT last pregnancy though so I worried) I drank 20 ounces of fluid and laid down for the evening. I understand that if they discontinue with fluid and laying down it is fine.
I've had some braxton hicks that have lasted several minutes and are uncomfortable almost to the point of being painful, but not quite. I think you're right though, as long as they go away and aren't regular then you're fine. You probably just overdid it a little bit. Definitely check with your midwife though.
I have had them... I got worried and was checked for dialation at my last appointment and I wasn't dialated at all. I was told to call if I got more than 4 in an hour. And to try and avoid the activities that seem to cause them or take frequent breaks to rest!
JaxonJocelyn Gabriel Grayson and due in September!
I've had them as well. alot of ones that aren't painful but on Saturday I did WAY too much heavy lifting and I had to lay down in the afternoon because I got quite a few painful ones. I think as long as they don't persist it's fine but take it easy packing boxes!!
