Will you do any natural induction methods to help bring on labor? What will you try? And when?

Not this time. Last time I was so afraid of going to 42 weeks and having to be induced (WA state law doesn't allow you to go past 42 and I was trying for a homebirth) that I tried a ton of stuff. Evening primrose oil, raspberry leaf tea, DTD, walking walking walking, nipple stimulation...I was obsessed and it really stressed me out. None of it worked and I went into labor at 41w 5d. This time I'm just going to relax and let baby come when he's ready!

Our anniversary is June 5 and my DD is June 21. I could let DH get lucky on our anniversary to see what that does

I'm having a repeat c-section so no plans. With Madison, we weren't trying to go into labor but exactly 12 hours after dtd my water broke. With Hailey, we tried dtd, walking, primrose tablets and nothing. I was trying because I still wanted a chance at a VBAC. It didn't happen since my BP shot up and I had to have another c-section.

I have never had any luck with natural induction methods. For my last baby, my midwife did strip my membranes but I am not sure if that counts as a natural method, but that did work for me.

No - in fact, I want to keep this little guy in as long as I can! DD was born on her due date, and I want this guy born on his due date or later. I'm due on June 3rd, but if I go at the end of May then I don't get a spot at the hospital I want to deliver at. So I'm holding out for June!

I won't do anything either. I have a few reasons that I need to go I over, one being Katelynn's summer dance recital it's on my edd. Eekk. But we both felt that we couldn't tell her she couldn't participate because of the baby. I will have my parents come up for it and take her if we need too. But I don't want her pushed aside because of the baby.

Oh yeah, my midwife stripped my membranes twice and it STILL didn't work. I probably won't do that again, either. It did not feel good, lol.

Fiona has a dance recital 5 days after my due date...So most likely I won't be there, which makes me so sad! But Daddy will be there, and my parents, and my brother and his wife will all go. So she'll still be able to participate and have plenty of people there.

Not this time either. I tried everything except castor oil with Connor, and not a **** thing worked! I truly believe they come when they are **** good and ready lol, even a pit induction didn't work for him!

I tried: Pineapple (a costco sized container of it in 2 days, ugh!), eggplant parm with extra oregano and seasoning, spicy foods (I made some super spicy jerk seasoning dish, it was SOOOO spicy, I don't even know how I stomached it!), I drank a TON of RRL tea, even on the day of induction/during labor, lots of walking, EPO, DTD, and bounced on a ball while doing all of the above except DTD! LOL also had my membranes stripped....ummm....sure I'm missing something lol but literally tried everything except the castor oil!

Just DTD and walking. I have never made it to my due date before and I've never done anything other than those 2 things so I will just try to have fun and let her get here when she gets here.

I'll be there if the baby is a few days old or no signs of labor that day. We will order the video too.

I don't think it is a good idea, for a couple of reasons. "Natural" does not mean "safe" and the natural induction methods that actually work carry with them the same risks and potential for complications that a medical induction does. NOT something you want to undertake on your own.

We'll see if I do anything. Last time I took EPO orally for about 2 weeks. My midwife stripped my membranes the day before labor, but my contractions ended up stalling for the rest of the day so I don't think that worked. DH and I dtd with nipple stimulation and I had a pretty awesome orgasm that night. An hour later I woke up in labor. So I'm thinking orgasm was the key there, plus I was 4 cm and 90% the day before. My body was just ready.

I don't think I'll be trying anything, I want baby to come on his due date or after, that way DH will be done with work, and won't be all stressed out and pulled from all sides. My dd is literally the day after school gets out, so Arthur just needs to stay put until then.

Like last time, I will do stuff to keep myself feeling good and supporting the natural process... walking, birthing ball (helps soooo much with sore hips!!!), DTD (DH isn't gonna get it for quite some time after birth, after all), and maybe drink some RRL tea, which I doubt would do much to start anything. I don't believe in the more effective/risky natural induction methods and I prefer to let the baby pick his own birthday. DD came 3 days after my EDD and subsequent babies usually come sooner, I have heard.
