This morning, we finally got all of the papers signed for our taxes and should be getting all of our refund money in less than 2 weeks! Yay! While we were doing that with the CPA, our realtor called to tell us that the paperwork issue between the builder and the lender was solved this morning. They set our new closing time for 2pm today, SOOOO, as long as no one decides to have any more issues, we will start moving some stuff into our house today. We still missed the opportunity get totally moved this past weekend and will have to try to get it all done on Friday and Saturday and will probably have to spend Easter cleaning the old house, but at least we won't be homeless!
Also, the ceiling fans we ordered for the new house will be ready for pick up today, so we can get them and take them straight to the new house. We can also arrange for the washer and dryer we ordered to be delivered this week and ready to use the first day we move in. We are FINALLY ordering crib bedding tonight, as well. I found a great lady on Etsy who does custom bedding at a great price and she has been AMAZING at helping me get exactly what I want. My aunt, uncle, and grandpa want to buy it for us and they want to order today and we should get it in 3 weeks, the lady tells me. And we will also go ahead and order the nursery furniture so it will be delivered next week. So much to do, but so awesome! I am so excited this crazy, freakish Spring snow day has turned out to be a great day!
You might ask your landlord if they have a cleaning person they recommend. We often refer our cleaners to our residents and they get a discount. It would save you an entire day of scrubbing baseboards. Or just ask your landlord what he would deduct from your deposit to clean. He/She is going to have to have it cleaned anyway, so might as well try.
