Too short! This was one of those weekends where you want to freeze time and just savor every second of your baby being himself.
FTM - I don't often give a lotof advice, but this I will share: it goes so fast. Don't rush them through milestones or force them to grow up too quickly. We are their parents forever, but they are only little and innocent for a very short time frame. Enjoy the excitement they find in everything. These days are precious.
Ours was lovely, too. I had to work 7-3 which I wasn't too happy about, but it was the most beautiful weather we've had all year. We went to dinner at DH's parents' house and did a little egg hunt for DD and my niece who is also 2 1/2. I got to hold my squishy baby nephew, too. This was the first year DD had any idea what was going on and she had such a blast with our family. DH and I took her for a walk down to the pier (his parents live in this adorable little historical town on the water) to see the ferry boats. I love seeing my sweet girl so excited. The drive home was stressful and I almost peed my pants because traffic made it take an hour and a half, but it was worth it.
It was great. The weather was amazing. The kids got to do their egg hunt and play outside for the longest time thus far this year. They had a blast so I did too And dinner was yummy... wished I could have fit more though, this baby is squishing my stomach!
JaxonJocelyn Gabriel Grayson and due in September!
Ours was pretty good. We had a good church service and then spent the rest of day at my parents house. We didn't have the two youngest girls so it did seem a bit odd but it was still good time and great food!
