So my parents wanted to buy the crib for us, which is wonderful and I really appreciate. My mom and I picked one out together that we saw at Target. I was not expecting to find one there and we weren't even looking that day, but it's a lovely crib. Last week, my dad ordered it online and it arrived today. I was so excited because it is the first thing we actually have for this baby's nursery. I was worried when I saw the corner of the box was really messed up, so I was taking pieces out slowly and looking them over. I only got out the two small pieces on top and the hardware box when I saw that the middle of the front of the crib (far from the damaged box corner) had a HUGE gash in it. And, it was underneath the other pieces that were intact, which means it had to have been damaged when it went into the box. I am so irritated! I immediately called customer service, who told me they would email me a shipping label to send it back, but I would have to take it to UPS (the box weighs 82 pounds), wait for them to process it as a return to credit the account, and then I have to reorder it and wait all over again. So this will likely take a few weeks! I so don't have the kind of time with a whole nursery to do! Ugh!

we had that problem with babies r us. When we bought DS's crib, it looked perfectly fine. then when we were assembling it, we noticed that one of the holes had been fit with the wrong size pre-threaded nut. So the bolt wouldn't fit in. we had to take the whole thing apart and bring it back. I was irate to say the least.

Oh no, that sucks! I hope it ends up getting resolved quicker than they're saying! I would be so mad!

Take it back to a target store for a refund. You don't have to ship it back. I would go to target and demand my money back right away that way you can order the crib ASAP without having to wait for a refund.

I would call again. That is terrible customer service - especially if you tell them you are pg and unable to lift.

I aggree with Genesis. If you already have to take it to the UPS office, minus well take it directly to the target store for an immediate refund or in store exchange. Very frustrating. Sorry hun!
