So I am one of those people who "fix" things rather than buy new.

I bought this dresser off craigslist for 25 bucks:

Then my husband stripped and sanded it:

then I painted the "bones" the same pink that is in her mural which i also painted:

Now I don't know what to do about the drawers. I think it might be a pink overload is i painted the drawers pink, but then I thought....what if i did the drawers the same grey as on her wall...and that little inlay pink and the hardware pink?

Or should I just do the pink?

Or should I choose another color entirely out of her mural...like the green, cream or blue?

Here is the mural/wall color:

for the record my mural isn't completed so don't judge yet!

Wow it looks awesome! I wish I was that talented, but I have no clue what I would paint the drawers. Would it be a pain to paint it 1/2 pink, 1/2 grey just to see how you feel about each color? I don't mean the whole dresser but like one drawer?

I personally like pink and brown. My friend did the same as you bought a used dresser online and then painted it pink and brown but i think her colors were opposite, drawers were pink and the framing or whatever it's called, was brown. I love her daughters room! So I think brown but I'm not a great decorator lol, I'm pretty impressed with your mural!

That is awesome!!!! What a great craigslist find and great refinish job!!

I would maybe find some hardware you like, and then decide what would look best with it... I like the idea of using a different color for the drawers. Maybe cream would be a better offsetting color for the hardware. Or you could even get really funky and do different colors for different drawers

Exactly this! It would look feminine and match the mural without being too much extra color if that makes any sense.

What if you painted the sides of the drawer the grey and the fronts the green with brown handles. Then when you pull the drawer out you see the gray? Or the front gray with the sides either brown or green with white hardware.

I love the idea of the gray. I think it would make the dresser look a bit more modern which would be cool since it has such traditional lines.

I think gray drawers with a little bit of that green as the inlay design would really pop.

Thank you ladies. I think I am going with the grey because it will be easier to keep looking clean than the cream color would.

I do think however, I'm going to take someone's advice and paint the sides of the drawers something that will pop like one of you suggested.

Ill get started on it today.

I saw the idea on painting the sides of the drawers on pinterest once and though it was neat and loved how it would pop. Can't wait to see it completed
