Okay, so I'm a first-timer, and I know that all sorts of freaky stuff happens to your body during pregnancy, but this is new to me for this pregnancy and it's freaking me out.

I was fine all morning getting ready for work, but now whenever I stand and walk my groin is super painful. It's like a deep bruise feeling, mostly towards the front of my genitals. It doesn't hurt if I press on the area and it's fine while I'm sitting. No itching or burning. It's really uncomfortable!

Anyone else have something similar, or have an idea what's going on?

Yep! Mine gets worse the more I sit and it's been going on for weeks. I have to sit down to put my pants on or shoes on because if I stand on one foot for even a second, it feels like someone is punching my lady bits. Otherwise it's more of a horrible aching feeling. Had to tell SO that there'd be no DTD for a few days because of it. Poor guy . Laying down helps a lot. I've seen other ladies write that they use either warm or cold compresses as well. Hope you find something that helps!

Thanks, ladies! Makes me feel better to know it's normal (or as normal as anything associated with pregnancy can really be )

Any idea what causes it?

Usually babies head putting pressure on the cervix is what causes it. And it can and usually does getworse when baby "drops" which is when baby's head gets closer toward the birth canal the last week or two before birth. So I'm not trying to complain yet cuz I know things can feel worse lol

I've read and heard that a lot of it is due to excess blood flow down there. Baby isn't head down yet for me, so I guess it's not that. Not looking forward to when she decides to turn!

Aw, man... The fun just keeps coming, huh? This is definitely not a sexy feeling.

Is it June yet?
