I'm going to guess that I've had these discolored places on my belly for at least a month. I have two that are next to my belly button almost an inch long. I cant feel them like normal stretch marks- just discolored. I usually see them more after I've showered or after applying lotion. Otherwise, theyre not noticable. So far, they haven't actually turned into stretch marks, but I'm sure they will. Did yours start like this?

Yes. Unfortunately I have like a zillion of those spots, some of them are now up to about an inch long on the underside of my belly, on the sides of my hips and some on the tops of my thighs. Ugh. I am just hoping they don't get too scary long and deep before delivery.

i have only gotten 1 stretch mark this pregnancy and i got it at 6 weeks!! i thought i'd be in for it. however, i have lots of stretch marks on my sides from previous weight gain/weight loss. the one i have from this pregnancy is right next to my belly button. i have noticed my older stretch marks getting darker but no other new ones.
I've lucked out on stretch marks for this pregnancy so far. But I have loads of old ones (big scary wide ones) from my last pregnancy. I have some yellowish brownish discoloration on my stomach that is also a left over from my first pregnancy. Nothing ever came of them, though. When I did get a new stretch mark it would just appear out of the blue.
Funny enough, for a long time in my pregnancy the number of stretch marks I had equaled how many weeks along I was. Even though I counted them out for my former OB/GYN they thought i was nuts, lol. I should probably count how many old stretch mark scars I have and see if they equal 42 (I carried Alex for 41 weeks and 5 days).

I have so many stretch marks from my previous pregnancies, but I think I have a few new ones, but they are not big (yet). For me, the new ones are bright red, almost like a purplish-red. They are on my sides, a little bit at my belly button, and on my hips/thighs.
I thought I would get off the hook stretch mark wise with DD. I had some discoloured spots, some that looked almost like veins of bruises and I thought that was it.....then at about 38 weeks they suddenly ALL appeared and all very red. Almost all were beside or below belly button level though. It took 3 months or so after birth for them to fade considerably but before getting pregnant this time you could hardly see them at all. I anticipate my old ones to flare up and look really red right before I deliver as well
