Is this necessary. i figured just washing with soap and hot water is ok. Or running through dishwasher. We will be doing both.

I put a steamer thing on my registry just because. I figure it'll just be more for peace of mind than anything. I figure hot soap and water is good enough for our dishes, it's good enough for the bottles.

I think I did this exactly once and then never again, lol. We have this little caddy that we threw everything in and placed it on the top rack of our dishwasher. That works just as well. But, honestly, we always just washed in hot soapy water.

I ran the sanitize cycle on the dishwasher does that count? I boiled and sanitized them with David but after that I didnt do anything to them. And never did with Katelynn and Everett never had a bottle.

I got a sanitizer for my baby shower with DD and I loved that thing! But the dishwasher or hot water and soap would work just fine also!

OH! I forgot. I did sanitize my pumping stuff a lot using the Medela microwave bags. I didn't want any chance of mildew or anything growing in the flanges or something.

I used the medela sanitizing bags for pump parts but only once a week. The nicu said soap and water was fine. I would occasionally put them through the dishwasher and never sanitized the bottles.

I did not. I nursed when not at work. Figured I did not sanitize my breast As long as your child is full term, I think soap and hot water is fine.
