Does that mean I will go early? Just curious from your experience.

I was 30 weeks and she said I was measuring 32 weeks. This was but the fundal height measurement.

Does this mean anything realy?

I was told at my appointment before last that I was measuring two weeks ahead... at my last appointment she told me I was measuring right on time. I'm assuming that it can change and isn't something they rely on for accuracy. I'm not worrying about it!

I think they just like to check to make sure you don't have too much amniotic fluid and check baby size to see if they are measuring a little big. I don't think it is much to be concerned over unless it stays that way or there is too much fluid. But I haven't been measuring ahead.

i usually measure a little ahead (i have a larger uterus and i think sometimes it can depend on baby's position) with my last pregnancy i was usually 2 weeks ahead of schedule but delivered at 39w3d. so could it mean you'll deliver early? maybe, but maybe not too. if you're measuring much farther ahead/behind you might get a sonogram to measure the amniotic fluid. but if you're doctor wasnt concerned then i wouldnt worry

At my 21 week ultrasound, they said baby was about 5 days ahead, no big deal. At this last one (33 weeks exactly) they said baby was measuring 34w5d, so almost two weeks ahead. The tech told me that at this point the measurements can be 3 weeks off in either direction. I'm sure the same is true with the fundal measurements and lots of docs don't even do them anymore from what I've read. It's all about how your fluid is resting, etc. I wouldn't worry too much about it. (Seeing as I'm a first timer, this is just my opinion and from what I've researched myself.)

My Dr. doesn't even take fundal height measurements. So many things can impact it - baby's position, size, number of previous pregnancies etc.

My Dr. told me last time "I will let you know when it is time to stress. If I don't say it's time to stress, then everything is going well"

I've been measuring anywhere from 2-4 weeks ahead this time. But its my 4th baby with my last one being less than 2 so my ligaments are already loose. There is a +/- 2 week grace since its really subjective.
