First of all, I wanted to thank you ladies for the kind words, and especially for your prayers, after my grandfather's passing. We had a really difficult week and weekend, but God is faithful and somehow, we all made it through. Right now we are navigating some drama caused by my cousin. She is the kind that was never around but wants to be now to see what she can get. Aside from her, the family who has really been together throughout these difficult years with my grandparents really banded together. And DD was a huge blessing to have around. I don't know how much she gets (I know she doesn't have a concept of death and I haven't used that language with her, but I told her that we wouldn't see him for a long time, that he was with Nanny and Jesus. Shockingly, she didn't ask for him the whole time we were at their house and then yesterday, she said, "I miss my Pappy and Nanny." Broke my heart.) But she was absolutely wonderful.
Last Wednesday, we went for a 3D/4D u/s to try and do something to perk ourselves up before the trip. We had one scheduled for Friday, but had to cancel it. So we went on Wednesday. In good news, she looks great. In bad news, she is 100% breech, head straight up. Two midwives thought head down from feeling, but the u/s showed the opposite. So I am pretty stressed about that and trying to do baby spinning stuff. My next appt with the midwife is Friday, so I will talk to her about it then. I also got my first case of pregnancy cankles on Saturday from standing for 4 hours in heels at the viewings. My calves and ankles look like they belong to someone who weighs about 100 pounds more than I do. And they are uncomfortable. I am going to try to soak them and then sit with them propped up tonight.
In other news, the crib bedding finally came on Wednesday after the u/s, so in an attempt to distract myself, I got everything washed and set up on the bed. I really love it except for one of the crib sheets. The color on the computer screen looked like it matched, but in life, the purple is more of a Ravens purple (you would love it, Karey!) and doesn't match the flowers on the pattern. But the lady who made it is great and is going to send me another sheet in the lighter purple of the other sheet that looks good. I really love how it all looks. I will try to figure out how to post pics. I have uploaded them to photo bucket, but have to figure out what to do from there. I will work on it.
Love Ravens purple!! And glad she's looking good although breech. Check out spinning babies website for their exercises which are to help flip a breech baby. They are super easy to do and effective too.
Also glad your DD is handling everything OK. Hugs!!
