So as most of you know i had the external version done on baby girl and she is now head down Today I am having severe pain at times in my low back and pelvis and i feel her head pushing down very hard. it is sending shooting pain down my legs at times as well. it's so bad that when it happens i scream out and double over. being my 4th child, i have NEVER felt this before to this degree and i guess i am just wondering if any of you have ever experienced this?

I am assuming it is just baby engaging but what's up with the pain and pressure in my back and at times my butt?????

Does it feel like it could be back labor? I am not sure... I have a lot of pretty bad back pain and pelvic pain, but nothing that makes me double over.

Since you had the version just recently, maybe its worth putting in a call to the doc to see if you need to be checked to see if you are in labor?

I would call the doc. I can tell you that I just told the doc today that I had lots of pain in the lower pelvis. She "thinks" it is just Ellianna engaging. In addition, today I measured identical to two weeks ago. They are doing a scan to ensure growth is OK. I am thinking that the pain is due to Ellianna engaging and this is causing my uterus to appear not as large. Perhaps that is your pain? I would check though.

I think you should call your doc to see if this could be a result of the external version...

Oh man , you guys have me scared! I was just thinking it was normal and that since i have been carrying around a breech baby that it is just sensations that i haven't been experiencing. it truly just feels like the baby's head pushing down very very hard...and like hitting bone or something?? i don't know. i guess i will call first thing tomorrow. i have been at work all day today and it did stop for the majority of the day.... but it was constant this morning and had it last night as well.
