My ex was the same way when I was pregnant with DD, saying that I wasn't a mom yet. But he did end up getting me flowers and a card and some chocolate I think. So maybe there is hope for you ladies.
I know I for one believe that you ladies are all mothers already, as are women who've carried a baby in their womb but not in their arms. We all deserve recognition for nurturing a human life, even if it is snuffed out far too soon.
In response to the last few posts: You're a mother at conception and the father is a father at that point too.
DH may or may not get me flowers or take me to lunch Monday or something. We have done that some yrs for mothers/father day but not all.
I told DD1 that I just want coupons for alone time with her. She plays with my hair or plays pedicure to my feet or draws murals on my back with markers. I like that kind of stuff. Also, I told them I want this house tidy today for my mom coming over tomorrow to hang out for mother's day so they need to clean their rooms and any mess they make in the rest of the house bc I'm trying o deal with dishes, laundry and floors. (Well, you see how good I'm doing at that, I'm on here instead )
I'm happy bc we're done with my mom's presents (we made them) and I think she'll really like them.
We plan on going shopping but everything I'm buying is stuff for the nursery or baby, nothing for me lol it amazes me how happy shopping for my children makes me hope you and all the lovely ladies on here have an amazing Mother's Day as well.
